The word, Diego has blanketed, southern America with sheets of purity driven snow rising up into the Land of the Free – beyond Charlottesville’s First-Degree murder conviction, now carried by the wind into drifts of well-deserved hellish confinement.
Sharing the fullness of joy and strength for mind, body and soul, inspires words to be more honest than an American-ATM-in-Chief, a murderous Russian puppeteer and a whitewashed cover up of spending our tax dollars to preserve, protect and defend shrines to a nation divided: Confederate memorials, cemeteries, tombstones and anti-United States of America statues.
Is it American to adopt and adapt to the words of Wisconsin and Michigan Republican legislators – or shall we unite with North Carolina elections board and delay Koch certification?
Are the words, Voter Fraud, now caught in the throat of its most raucous proponent? Have our, give me your tired your poor, words been capsized into the darkness of a sickened ocean, asking not what our planet can do for us, but what we can abandon, to save North, South East and West from civil war?
Midterm elections proved words as ballots can envision a new diversified, American Dream on its journey to justice for all; that we can rise above freedom of speech demeaned by tea stained reruns and hacked ads – aided and abetted by a social face-off lying face-down in the muck racking of deceit for dollars.
In this season of philosophical celebrants simultaneously, if only coincidentally, rubbing elbows for a few end-of-year weeks of brief shining moments, dare to suggest a collective connection with, joy to the world and all life upon it, possibilities – and give the gift of deeds to our pro humankind words?
If not now, when will the words: thoughts and prayers, of Mawlid el-Nabi, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and Christmas throw open the doors, to a vast evolution of hosts greeting all who enter life on earth with a prepared table in the presence of those Governors and Congressional members who have rented their service potential to enemies of the state?
Good words evolve into deeds that deflect any reflection of being doped up on forked tongues – disgorging on all manner of mangers – to still deny, room in the inn of prosperity, as continued subjugation of the least of these our responsibilities.

It is the power of our words that connects and enables our thoughts and actions. However, words express both the core of current domestic Anti-Gettysburg Address America, and our call to honor all of God’s Children.
When my three visiting male Blue Jays announce winter’s new dawn, I wonder, in whose words are we better invested for the truth of what’s to come: Al Roker, Rachel Maddow and Jon Whelan – or those trumped disciples genuflecting before the Koch throne installing Brian Kemp, Cindy Hyde-Smith and Brett Kavanaugh?
When the Blue Jays call, let our words be made manifest in the truth of deeds that honor, Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans, who will never again stare in the face of sexism, racism or genocide without crushing, Silence is Consent, with law-abiding action elevated by, truth will set us free, word-power.
Respectful words prevent our echoing the devastation of ignoring the power of ignorance, reducing patriotism to racist tunnel vision or scorning diversity’s contributions.
Our words impact lives, whether telling a younger sibling they can’t draw or confessing to a wife’s students, she, brings out the pizza in me.
